LGFA Results

The senior ladies lost out narrowly away to Mullingar Shamrocks in the first round of the Division 1 League on Sunday evening last. Despite the result the girls put in a very good performance but just lost out when the final whistle sounded. Final score was The Downs 2-11 Mullingar Shamrocks 3-09.

Our u16 girls lost out to Clann Gaels on Tuesday evening after a flurry of late scores by the visitors. Final score 5-06 to 3-06 in favour of Clann Gaels. Hard luck girls.

The U14 girls continued their league action this week with a hard earned win against Moate away. The girls are improving with every game. Final score was The Downs 4-03 Moate 3-04.

The U12 panel all travelled to Lake-point Park on Tuesday evening. Great performances from our girls despite very tough opposition. Thanks to St. Lomans for hosting.

The U8s and U10s played a blitz in Killucan on Saturday morning last. Great to see the girls having so much fun while playing some great football. Thanks to Killucan who were wonderful hosts as usual. Well done to all.

Scór na nÓg

We are having a celebration of our Scór na nÓg Leinster champions on Thursday night April 27th in the clubhouse from 8pm to 10 pm.
